Provides treatment to children and adolescents with significant psychiatric illness and impairment in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, physical, familial, and social functioning and are in need of intensive treatment in and out of home placement.
Population Served:
• 36 residents
• Male and female
• Ages 6-14
Treatment Services:
• Assessment and Treatment Planning
• On-site monthly treatment plan reviews
• On-site psychiatric consultation/medication monitoring
• Intensive therapy provided by a Master's level clinician
• Individual, Group, and Family Therapy
• Intensive Case Management
• Recreation Therapy
York Place is owned and operated by the Episcopal Dioceses of South Carolina and the Upper Episcopal Dioceses of South Carolina and is licensed by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), and is accredited by The Council on Accreditation. (COA).

High Management Group Home
Capacity for HMGH is 12 residents
Population Served:
• Males and females
• Ages 9-16
• Significant psychiatric illness and impairment, but less acute than RTF residents
Treatment Services:
• On-site quarterly treatment plan reviews
• On-site psychiatric consultation/medication monitoring
• Intensive therapy provided by Lead Clinical Staff (LCS)
• Individual, Group, and Family Counseling
• Intensive Case Management
• Restorative Psychosocial Therapy (RPT)

Generalized Services
Educational Services
• Three on campus emotionally disturbed and learning disabled self-contained classrooms. Teachers provided by York School District One.
• One on-campus medically home bound classroom with teacher provided by York Place
• All educational services meets Public law 94-142 requirements
• Some residents attend York School District I regular classrooms
• Intensive Case Management
• Restorative Psychosocial Therapy (RPT)
Medical Services:
• On-site medical care provided by a Registered Nurse
• Annual physical exams
• Biannual dental exams
• Other medical services performed as needed on an individual basis
Consultative Services:
• On-site psychological testing performed by Licensed Psychologist
• On-site intensive family therapy and training provided by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• On-site nutritional assessments performed by Registered Dietitian (RD)
Recreational Activities:
• Indoor/heated swimming pool
• Fishing pond
• Playground
• Pottery/arts and crafts room
• Nature and bike trails

• Weekly chapel services led by an Episcopal Priest, encouraging residents to assist by serving as ushers and acolytes
