| A Residential Treatment Facility for Children & Adolescents | |

 As a residential treatment facility, York Place first makes every effort to locate a more local, less restrictive alternative for a family seeking treatment for a child. No charge is made for this service.
Treatment is provided for children with significant psychiatric illness and impairment in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, physical, familial, and social functioning. Admission is indicated when one or more of the following are present: |

• presence of a DSM-IV diagnosable psychiatric disorder • behaviors seriously impairing development and functioning in home, school, or community settings • history of failed treatment or inaccessibility of appropriate treatment • absence or collapse of necessary support systems requiring placement • impairment of potentially adequate intellectual functioning • participation is required of parent/guardian |

| Referrals may be made by the child's parent or legal guardian, psychiatrist, therapist or other mental health professional.
