Our greatest need is for unrestricted dollars - - unless otherwise specified, your gift will go toward meeting the current needs of the children we serve.
Any gift may be designated as an honor or memorial gift simply by indicating this at the time the gift is made.
An Honor Gift is a tribute to a friend or loved one. As your family celebrates birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays, consider marking them with special gifts to York Place. A wonderful way to show someone that he or she is thought of, loved, and appreciated is to invest in a life that is yet to be lived! Notification (without reference to the amount of the gift) will be sent to the person honored by your gift, and your names will be published in the York Place Reminder.
A Memorial Gift is an expression of love that allows a special memory to live on in the life of a child as an investment in the future. This type of gift is meaningful to family members, friends, and also to children in need. Notification will be sent to the appropriate person(s), and your name will be published in the Annual Donor Report along with the name of the individual being remembered.
In addition to gifts made today you may also want to consider how you would like your assets distributed in the long term.
There are many possible options:
• A gift through your will or living trust: Once you have provided for loved ones, you can leave a specific amount of property, a percentage of your estate, or "what's left."
• Beneficiary designations of life insurance and retirement plan proceeds:
Consider these in addition to, or as "substitutes" for, bequest gifts.
• Gifts with retained income for you or others.
Check with us or your financial advisors about available options.
