
York Place staff carefully considers every referral received. It is our goal to ensure the child and family receives the most appropriate services.
Psychiatric Residential Treatment is provided for children with significant psychiatric illness and impairment in behavioral, cognitive, emotional, physical, familial, and social functioning. Admission is indicated when one or more of the following are present:
• presence of a DSM-IV diagnosable psychiatric disorder
• behaviors seriously impairing development and functioning in home, school, or community settings
• history of failed treatment or inaccessibility of appropriate treatment
• absence or collapse of necessary support systems requiring placement
• impairment of potentially adequate intellectual functioning
• participation is required of parent/guardian.
